Black Steel Boned Underbust Corset
This steel boned underbust plus size corset is made of a heavy weight brushed satin, which has a lush sheen and elegant feel. There are 14 bones in all, made of high density German steel.
Ten are spiral bones for four-way movement, four are rigid steel bones for two-way movement. Waist reduction this corset is designed to achieve is between 2 to 4 inches.
The front of the corset is 12" long steel busk (front fastener), which has also been precision made in Germany and specially coated to give the busk a longer life span and increase it's strength.
The steel itself is high density and gives a higher level of rigidity than other types of lower grade busks which may look stronger.
The back laces up with strong nylon lacing. We love to see the curves of a beautiful back beneath the laces but if you prefer to cover that area, this corset includes an optional modesty panel. The modesty panel can be pulled into place if you decide to not to expose bare skin under the lacing.
Underbust corsets are versatile and can be worn with with a black bra (like our ruffle demi bra shown here), or with a blouse, a tank top or a lace teddy. Ruffle demi bra is sold separately.
Six garter loops made for wide width garters are sewn into the bottom of the corset. The garter straps themselves are not included but can be purchased separately.
If you're not used to wearing corsets, we recommend getting dressed a little early the first time you wear it. Tightening the laces and hooking the busk might be a little tricky if you've never worn steel boned corsets before. The results are worth it though - you will love it!
Important Sizing Information: This sizing on this corset is by waist measurement. It should be ordered 2-3 inches below your natural waist measurement. For example, a person whose natural waist size is 38 or 39 inches could order a corset of size 36 and could wear the back with a 1 - 2 inch space, giving the waist a 2-3 inch reduction. Casual corset wearers can comfortably reduce their waist by 2 or 3 inches. More experienced corset wearers can reduce their waist up to 3 or 4 inches.
How to take a waist measurement: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Keep the tape snug, but don't pull tight. Always measure 2-3 times for accuracy.
